11/08/2008 Educational Day

On Friday, August 22nd, more than 30 educationalists from the region will have the opportunity to sample a special day trip to Jersey’s world-renowned Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

The trip departs from Weymouth Harbour on Friday, August 22^nd on board one of Condor’s wave-piercing fast ferry catamarans.

04/07/2008 Tour De Fez
A group of rowers from Westover and Bournemouth Rowing Club are embarking on a 2,000 mile charity cycle ride to Morocco from Portsmouth at 8am on Sunday 6 July with the help of Condor Ferries.

An electrical engineer with Condor Ferries has been enlisted to spearhead a nationwide campaign to raise awareness for Veterans’ Day on June 27^th.

Veteran’s Day is a celebration both of the contribution made by all those who have served in the Armed Forces and a way of highlighting veterans’ issues.

24/04/2008 Condor Joins Mercy Mission

Condor Ferries has joined forces with the Born Free Foundation to help rescue a pair of lion cubs. The five-month-old cubs, called Marina and Sarnia, were found abandoned and close to death outside an apartment block in Bucharest, Romania in December 2007.

Following a media appeal by the Born Free Foundation the lions were flown to a GSPCA Animal Shelter on Guernsey where they were nursed back to health.This week the cubs were declared fit to begin an epic journey to begin a new life at a wildlife reserve run by the Foundation in South Africa.
